Obituaries
An obituary is a notice of someone’s death.
They are usually written to bring across the facts, such as the time, place and cause of the death, the surviving relatives and the burial and funeral arrangements.
Points to consider when writing an obituary:
- The deceased’s name
- Date and place of birth
- Date, time and place of death
- Key family survivors/next of kin
- Any of the deceased’s life milestones and/or achievements
- The date, time and venue of the funeral or ceremony
- Any relevant contact details
- Any donation details
- A photo of the deceased can also be shared
