Arrange beverages

In some African funeral traditions, beer is brewed before the burial as a final send-off, but in general the consumption of alcohol is not permitted during the actual burial. The use of bottled waters during the burial ceremony is considered appropriate. It can even be individualised with images of the deceased if you wish. Cold drinks and alcohol might be allowed at the catered gathering afterwards, depending on your catering arrangements and budget. Discuss your options with your funeral director.
